Copyright & Intellectual Property.

In order to continue building a strong and original brand, Skincident must protect the intellectual property, creative assets, patterns, artwork, product concepts and designs developed as part of the Skincident range.

This includes the visual identity of the brand, garment graphics, textile patterns, patches, illustrations, slogans, packaging, content, campaigns and all associated creative work.

All creative concepts, artwork, patterns, prints, product designs, sketches, mock-ups, technical drawings and related materials created by Skincident remain the intellectual property of Skincident unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Under Australian copyright law, copyright automatically exists in original artistic works and designs where they are the result of skill, creativity and effort, and are fixed in material form, including digital files, drawings, artwork, patterns and product concepts. This protection applies to all original Skincident creative assets and range development materials.

Skincident retains full ownership of:

  • Original patterns and textile designs

  • Product and adhesive bandage concepts

  • Brand artwork and visual identity assets

  • Illustrations, graphics and creative direction

  • Unreleased concepts, samples and prototypes

  • Technical files, source files and working files

  • Campaign creative, photography and content

  • Any designs, concepts or artwork not selected for production or release

Purchase of a Skincident product does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property, artwork, pattern or design.

Customers may use and enjoy the products for personal use only.

Reproduction, replication, modification, commercial use, resale of copied designs, or unauthorised manufacturing based on Skincident designs is strictly prohibited.

Where Skincident collaborates with artists, photographers, creators or suppliers, ownership and licensing arrangements relating to those works remain subject to the terms agreed with the original creator.

Any stock imagery, licensed graphics or third-party creative assets remain the property of their respective owners and may only be used in accordance with their licensing terms.

Skincident reserves all rights in relation to its intellectual property, including the right to protect its designs, patterns, branding and creative assets from unauthorised reproduction, imitation or commercial use.
